ABOUT MARNI

Based in New York City, United States Figure Skating Double Gold Medalist Marni Halasa has trained skaters for the past two decades in freestyle, moves and choreography.

She coaches all levels, from children dealing with their first steps on ice, to advanced professionals, needing to perfect their technique. She coaches the artistic ensemble, 'Sky Rink All Stars,' who have been USFS National Showcase Medalists for the past 5 years and NYC's longest running children's ensemble theater on ice.

Marni is extremely passionate about practicing and teaching the sport. Her philosophy is that learning how to skate should be fun, while also develop one's character, commitment, team spirit and positive attitude. Her overall skating technique was formed by the original School Figures training, the foundation for all figure skating disciplines. Her creativity stems from her dance background in ballet, jazz and belly dance.
